Week Twelve Tribal Council

Margolo Tribe before Tribal Council

So Margolo just realized that it was going to be the first of the three new tribes to be down to four people. But they still had one more person to vote out before they got to that point. German, Elliott and Steve were still the main alliance in the tribe, but Elliott had a connection to Beckie as they came over from Kichanga together. Jord was the last person in the tribe who didn’t have a connection to German and Elliott, and he was pretty much convinced that he was going this week. It would be either him or Beckie, and Jord wasn’t feeling good about it. Beckie on the other hand had been getting more and more distant this week. She had almost resigned herself to not making the merge, which was silly because she was close with Elliott. She knew that the opportunity to only have guys left in the tribe may be too much to overcome. Both Beckie and Jord were not feeling confident.

Margolo at Tribal Council

Well here it is, and again, one person didn't vote. So the 4th person eliminated from Margolo, and the 25th from Survivor Hamilton Two is...

Beckie Moss

The Harteema Gang before Tribal Council

So the all star team lost two in a row. The tribe was not feeling so good about their last loss. They felt that they should have won it, but it just didn’t happen. Tyler and Silas were feeling a lot of pressure because Dirks and Pitman had already said goodbye to their partners, and it seemed that Lauren and Trotman were next in line. Trotman knew that he had been killing the challenges, so he had that in his corner, but Lauren had no such encouragement. One of the last three girls in the game, she knew that her time was running out that that’s why she was so unhappy when the tribe lost the last challenge. So Silas talked to Dirks to see if they could not vote out Trotman this week, while Lauren talked to Tyler to try and get rid of Trotman. It could be a close vote.

The Harteema Gang at Tribal Council

1st Vote: Trotman
2nd Vote: Trotman
3rd Vote: Tyler
4th Vote: Lauren
5th Vote: Lauren
So with one last vote on the way, Trotman and Lauren each have two votes against. So with the sixth and final vote, the 3rd person voted out of Harteema and the 26th person eliminated from Survivor Hamilton Two is…

Lauren Ria Pragg

Here is an interesting stat: of the 13 girls that started the game, 8 girls made the tribe switch. that means that of the 16 people vote out before the switch, only 5 were girls.

Since the switch, of the 10 people to get voted out so far, 7 of them including this week's votes have been girls. So that leaves only Mandy Maurice as the last girl remaining, against 13 guys. Good luck Mandy.

To both Beckie and Lauren, you two impressed me the most out of anyone in this game so far. You easily could have been both voted out right after Eby in weeks two and three, but you guys made it all the way to week twelve. You were both strategic, and you are the biggest surprises to this point. I'm only sorry that you guys couldn't have made it a few weeks longer. People should really comment this week because these two girls worked hard.

This weekend on SH2 Week Lucky Thirteen... Mandy struggles with the knowledge that she is the last girl standing. Margolo realizes this next challenge is a must win. Harteema focusses hard because they dont want to make it three losses in a row.

Week Twelve

Kichagani Tribe

A few days after the storm Kichagani’s campsite was a mess. The shelter was ruined, the food was spoiled, and the tribe’s spirits couldn’t have been any lower. They have lost two immunity challenges in a row, and they didn’t even feel up to a challenge today. The five remaining members tried to fix everything up, but it was just too much work. Kyle, who just celebrated a birthday knew that he had the toughest Tribal Council ahead of him. He was indebted to Scott for all the loyalty that he brings to the table, but his alliances with the other three people in the tribe were newer, so Mandy, Cowin and Micah felt that they had to work to almost gain Kyle’s approval. Mandy and Micah felt a lot more confident than Cowin did. He has seen all three of his allies get voted out at the tribe’s last three Tribal Councils, and he didn’t want to be next. He knew that he would have to make some promises to Kyle, and he was ready to do that. The tribe didn’t eat anything today.

Margolo Tribe

Winning immunity last week couldn’t have come at a better time than it did. The tribe was getting demoralized as it kept losing, but that win helped instill some confidence in their abilities. But the storm almost undid all that progress. The tribe was sore and tired, and they didn’t want to even get up from the puddles they were sleeping in. But soon Steve and Beckie got up and began cleaning stuff up. Jord and Elliott went out into the jungle to find coconuts that had been knocked out of the trees during the storm hoping that they were not moldy. German was in worse shape than expected, as it seemed he rolled his ankle during the storm. So he sat there, worried about the challenge ahead, and about not being able to help his tribe much around camp. Soon enough, Elliott and Jord returned with some coconuts and other roots and things that they could find. So German set to cooking whatever he could. As their work in the camp progressed, Steve and Beckie could see that camp slowly looking more and more like it used to. German decided not to tell his tribe about his ankle, hoping that nobody would notice and vote him off.

The Harteema Gang

After losing their second immunity last week, and the terrible storm, Harteema was not in good shape. Numerous people were hurt and exhausted, and nobody wanted to do much of anything. Tyler, Silas and Lauren were all in various states of uncomfort, while Pitman, Trotman and Dirks were left to try and get most of the work done. Slowly and surely, Silas and Lauren started to get to work, but Tyler was still in pain as a tree had fallen on him during the storm. Like the other two tribes, Harteema was in poor shape and needed food. They wanted to win this challenge more than any of the other ones, because if they do, then they will have a two person advantage on the other tribes. Lauren was feeling pretty down especially today, because after Cait was voted out last week, she knew that her time in the game was limited. Unless she could convince someone other than Tyler that she was necessary to keep around, then she may be going home this week.

Immunity Challenge

I know that everyone in the game is exhausted after lack of sleep and even less food. But that won’t stop the challenge schedule. This week’s challenge is mainly based on strength. Each tribe will stand on its own balance beam which is stilted above the ocean. The goal of the game is to pass down more planks from the back of the line to the front of it. Each time a new plank is placed, the tribe will shift down towards the beach. The first tribe to pass all the planks down the line from the back to the front and gain access to the beach will win immunity.

These planks are easily over 50 pounds so strength will be important. Teamwork and balance will also be important, but so will speed. As the line shifts towards the beach the tribe will get farther and farther from the pile of planks so the person at the end of the line must run back and get planks and bring it to the other members. Only that one person running back and forth may move their feet, unless a plank is placed then they shift from one plank to another.

So four people from each tribe will be the line that passes the planks towards the beach. Their attributes weightings are as follows:

Speed: 0%
Strength: 80%
Problem Solving: 0%
Strategizing: 0%
Teamwork: 20%

There will be one runner from each tribe. The runners are chosen and they are Scott, Elliott and Tyler. Their attribute weightings are as follows:

Speed: 40%
Strength: 50%
Problem Solving: 0%
Strategizing: 0%
Teamwork: 10%

As Harteema has one member they have to sit out one person. They choose to sit out Silas, as he has not sat out yet. And without further ado, the contestants are in place, and the challenge begins.

As the tribes pass down their heavy planks it is apparent that they are all very up to the task. They all looked exhausted, but they all want it bad. Margolo was getting to an early lead, as they worked out a precise passing method, and it was setting them apart from the Harteema and Kichagani. But as Elliott was getting farther and farther away from the pile of planks, he was slowing down significantly. Tyler was also beginning to slow down, his injuries from the storm catching up to him. It was at this point that Scott began to separate himself from Tyler and Elliott. His speed and endurance was catching his tribe up to Margolo.

Harteema was not out of it though, as they were beginning to work out the passing process. About minutes into the challenge, all the tribes were exhausted. Guys like Chris and Cowin were still able to do all the lifting, but the girls, specifically Mandy and Lauren were beat. Soon enough however, all three tribes were nearing the beach at around the exact same speed. It then came to the point where each tribe had only one more plank to place, and Scott, Elliott and Tyler were running back to retrieve them and bring it to the line.

Scott is the first person to bring his plank to Kyle in his tribe, followed by Tyler and Elliott. While Margolo and Harteema pass the plank faster than Kichagani, the lead was enough to seal the deal for Kichagani, as they will Immunity! That means that Kichagani is safe this week, and Margolo and Harteema must go to Tribal Council.

Keys to Victory (defeat):

Kichagani Tribe: Being the strongest tribe helped a lot. Scott’s speed was also a huge asset in this challenge. Mandy was the only weak link in this strength oriented challenge, but I guess that was to be expected. Essentially, Scott was the difference maker.

Margolo Tribe: It was a complete loss by the tribe as a whole. It was a super close challenge, but there were really no weak links. No one stood up and delivered an amazing performance like in Kichagani. Each person was pretty equal in the tribe, but some were just not as strong as others, and Elliott was just not as fast as Scott.

Harteema Gang: While Chris and Trotman were exceptional at passing, Dirks and Lauren just couldn’t take all that weight for so long. Tyler was very good, but just not as good as Scott.

So these are the people who have to vote by 11:59pm on Wednesday night:

Margolo Tribe:
Steve
Elliott
German
Beckie
Jord

Harteema Gang:
Silas
Dirks
Trotman
Chris
Tyler
Lauren

Cheers.

Week Eleven Tribal Council

Kichagani before Tribal Council

Going into their second Tribal Council in a row, Kichagani was not feeling very good. The storm had decimated the campsite and even though the stress of Tribal Council was looming, the tribe needed to fix up the camp. Cowin spent most of the day carrying huge logs on his back to try and make a new structure. Kyle and Scott worked on taking down the old shelter, while Chelsea and Mandy tried to salvage what food they could. Micah was sent to gather fresh water. Because of all the rain, there should be loads of water out in the jungle, and it was Micah’s job to locate it. Throughout the day however, strategy was talked about. Kyle and Scott spent a lot of time thinking of who would be best to vote out, considering they don’t want to lose any more challenges, but they also don’t want to be betrayed. Chelsea talked with Mandy about her tactics so far and in the future, and Mandy told her that she was just going with the flow, making her choices as they came. Micah spent a great deal of time on his own today, not really worrying about the vote. He had been slowly realizing that no matter how much he worried, some unexpected things were bound to happen. Cowin on the other hand, was worrying. He knew he had a lot to offer, and he wasn’t ready to go home yet. He knew there was a good chance that he was going to be voted out next, but he wasn’t ready. He loved SH2, and he didn’t want to go.

Kichagani Tribal Council

1st Vote: Chelsea
2nd Vote: Micah
3rd Vote: Chelsea
4th Vote: Chelsea
5th Vote: Chelsea
6th Vote: Chelsea

So with five votes against, the 3rd person voted out of Kichagani, and the 23rd out of Survivor Hamilton Two is…
Chelsea McDermott

The Harteema Gang before Tribal Council

Going into just their second TC as a tribe, Harteema was stunned to lose last week. They felt very confident in their abilities in the challenges, but this time it wasn’t to be. The people who felt the most vulnerable were Lauren and Cait. This tribe was dominated by the boys, and even though Lauren and Cait had been great, they thought the boys would think that the tribe would get even better if they were minus a couple girls. The guys weren’t sure however what would be the best choice. Dirks had already lost his partner, Hinton, so he knew that he had to vote out somebody else’s partner. But none of Silas, Chris, Trotman or Tyler really wanted to vote against their partners. Both Trotman and Silas had been killing the challenges recently, so they should be safe. Tyler has had a tight alliance with Lauren the whole game so far, and he didn’t want to back out of it now. Chris and Cait had met because of this game, but have been tight since the beginning. He didn’t want to vote against her, but maybe it would be necessary at this point. People weren’t sure who it was going to be, but it had to be somebody.

The Harteema Gang at Tribal Council

1st Vote: Trotman
2nd Vote: Cait
3rd Vote: Silas
4th Vote: Cait
5th Vote: Cait
6th Vote: Cait
7th Vote: Cait

So with five votes against, the 2nd person voted out of Harteema, and the 24th person voted out of Survivor Hamilton Two is…
Cait Waring

Well, another two people out, and we are getting closer and closer to the merge. An interesting note: five of the last six people eliminated have been girls. So the girls who are left, Becky, Mandy and Lauren should maybe be getting nervous.

This weekend on SH2... the tribes begin to rebuild from the storm/flood, but food is hard to come by and the challenge is tougher than any yet.

Week Eleven

Kichagani Tribe

Whatever Cowin had planned last week had not worked out for him. So now it was time to pack up his pride and talk to Kyle about some sort of alliance. Chelsea had been in an alliance with Kyle, but because she had first been in an alliance with Jill, she felt bad for betraying her. Both Cowin and Chelsea had to prove their worth. But strategy began to subside as the night sky quickly filled with clouds. The wind picked up and began shifting the tribe’s shelter. Suddenly thunder and lighting struck almost simultaneously, with the lighting striking somewhere in the woods behind the camp. Mandy and Scott rushed to hold down the shelter as the winds almost lifted it off the ground. As Cowin and Kyle ran to grab their makeshift fishing gear from the beach the rain began to pour down. Again the sky lit up with forks of lightning, and the thunder clapped just overhead. Micah and Chelsea tried to grab all the food they could, but the wind knocked Chelsea right off her feet and head first into a tree. Micah stopped where he was to lift her and take into the shelter which was being tied down.

Margolo Tribe

The waves crashed up on the beach buckling Jord’s legs as he was swept off shore by the undertow. German rushed to the rescue, and with the flashing lighting, and the pouring rain, he looked like a glittering angel to Jord, who was fighting furiously against the waves. Meanwhile, the water from the rain and the waves was filling the campsite and ruining all their food. The wind continued to howl and pull the trees almost to the ground. Elliott was whacked by a branch that broke off of a tree, and Steve hurried to his aid, yelling for Beckie to help. Together they woke Elliott (who was unconscious) and tried to get him under their ramshackle refuge. When there was no lighting, they couldn’t see anything as the night was pitch black, and the lighting blinded them when it flashed. German and Jord hurried out of the water to the shelter, and together with Steve, Elliott and Beckie they all huddled together under their slowly deteriorating shelter.

The Harteema Gang

The water was already up to Lauren’s waist as she struggled to stay on her feet. The wind didn’t help, as it tried to overturn her upped half and pull it under the water. Luckily, Chris got to her, hoisted her in the air and carried her to a tree, where she could brace herself against the wind. Harteema’s shelter was already gone, taken by the waves, and the tribe was trying to get into trees to keep from getting swept away as well. Wells, Dirks and Cait got into trees alright, but Trotman was still a ways away from any tree, and struggling mightily to get to where they were. Finally Trotman got to a tree, but at the same time, that tree was knocked down by the wind, and crashed into the tree that held Tyler and Cait. As they plunged into the water, the tree landed on top of Tyler, holding him down. Lifeguard Chris Pitman jumped into the water, and dove down the try and pull Tyler out. Dirks jumped down to help, and soon Tyler was pulled out, but the whole group was exhausted. It would be a long night.

Immunity Challenge

I know everyone is tired from the storm last night, but its time to compete. This challenge will be primarily a puzzle challenge, but will contain aspects of speed, strength and teamwork. Each tribe has a puzzle to put together, but the pieces are spread throughout the jungle, some in trees, and some in the mud and such. The pieces are also 50 lbs each. There are ten pieces per puzzle, and once all the pieces are brought back, the tribe members will take turns placing a piece until all ten pieces are in place. The first tribe to complete their puzzle wins immunity.

The attribute weightings are as follows:

Speed: 20%
Strength: 20%
PS: 40%
Strategizing: 0%
Teamwork: 20%

As only five contestants will participate in this challenge, Kichagani must sit out one member. They choose to sit out Chelsea. Since Harteema has two extra members and they can’t sit out someone who already sat out, they choose Cait to sit out. Their other member who has to sit out will be chosen by Kichagani and Margolo. They choose Dirks to sit out.

So with all five members of each of the three tribes at the starting line, the challenge begins! All the players rush out, with Cowin, German and Pitman being the first to bring back a piece. Each tribe member had to bring back two pieces in challenge. Scott, Kyle, Steve, Elliott and Tyler were the next few to bring their pieces back. Soon Kichagani and Margolo were almost done bringing in their pieces, with Lauren holding Harteema back a little in this section. Finally, Margolo and Kichagani were starting their puzzles at essentially the same time.

For Kichagani, Kyle, Cowin and Mandy were breezing through their puzzle, while for Margolo, German, Steve and Jord were killing it. Harteema was beginning to catch up with Lauren, Silas and Tyler picking up the slack. But it was Margolo that was beginning to pull away, being two pieces ahead. Their teamwork was great, and it was showing as quickly, Elliott placed the last piece in place and their puzzle was completed!

That means that Margolo wins their first Immunity, while Kichagani and Harteema must go to Tribal Council this week.

Keys to Victory (defeat):

Margolo Tribe: They really picked up the pace this week, and put together a tight challenge. As a team Margolo was exceptional, with each person knowing their part and getting it done. Beckie, German and Elliott were very good at collecting the pieces, while Steve and Jord were money at putting the puzzle together. Well done Margolo.

Kichagani Tribe: Sitting out Chelsea was probably a good choice, but there were still a couple people who didn’t do as well as they would have liked. Cowin, Kyle and Scott did very well in this challenge, but Mandy just wasn’t physical enough for this challenge, while Micah struggled a bit in the PS aspect of the challenge. It was close, but as a tribe, their teamwork is just too terrible. Probably has something to do with all the stress in the tribe.

Harteema Gang: Cait was as good a choice as any to sit out, but the other tribes choosing Dirks to sit out was a fantastic choice. He would have been very good in this challenge, but it wasn’t to be. Tyler picked up the slack however and was the best out of anyone in the game on this challenge. Chris and Trotman were good at getting the pieces, while Silas and Lauren were amazing at putting the puzzle together, the tribe just wasn’t made for a challenge like this. Weaknesses were exposed.

So these are the people who must vote by Wednesday night at 11:59 pm:

Kichagani Tribe:
Cowin
Kyle
Chelsea
Micah
Scott
Mandy

Harteema Gang:
Silas
Trotman
Tyler
Lauren
Dirks
Chris

Week Ten Tribal Council

Kichagani before Tribal Council

Heading in the tribe’s second Tribal Council, Kyle and Scott felt pretty confident. They had masterminded the last Tribal Council, and with Chelsea, Micah and Mandy on their side, eliminating Jill and Cowin over the next two weeks should be no problem. The question is however, should Jill and Cowin be the next two to go? Mandy and Micah were not totally loyal to Kyle and Scott. They knew Kyle before the game, but were not confident in the fact that he would take them to the merge. Most likely only three or four people from each tribe will be making the merge, so with Chelsea ahead of them in the alliance, only one or neither of them could make the merge. So that being said, Cowin knew that he needed to target those two and make them trust him. He promised them that he would take them to the merge, along with Jill, so Cowin’s fate essentially relied on Micah and Mandy. Let’s see what they decided.

Kichagani Tribal Council

1st Vote: Jill
2nd Vote: Mandy
3rd Vote: Mandy
4th Vote: Jill
5th Vote: Jill
6th Vote: Mandy
7th Vote: Jill

So with four votes for Jill and three against Mandy, that means that the 2nd person voted out of Kichagani, and the 21st person eliminated from Survivor Hamilton Two is...
my mom, Jill Hamilton.

Margolo before Tribal Council

Margolo had already voted out two people, and soon it would be time to eliminate their third. German, Elliott and Steve were still in a tight alliance, while Nathalie and Jord were also together. Beckie’s strongest ties were Elliott and Nathalie, so she was naturally having a problem deciding what to do. The alliance of three wanted to get rid of Nathalie last week, and this week their choice will most likely be the same. Nathalie and Jord had wanted to get rid of Tyla last week, and because Tyla didn’t vote in time, she was voted out. That could be considered a win for Nathalie and Jord, but they would need Beckie to side with them again, or most likely Nathalie will be out.

Margolo Tribal Council

After last week Tyla didn't show up to Tribal Council, it was a suprise for the tribe to discover that someone didn't vote in this week's tribal council as well. So the 3rd person eliminated from Margolo, and the 22nd from Survivor Hamilton Two is...
Nathalie Hainaut

So another week, another two people out of Survivor... I am very sad to see my mother voted out, but she had a good run. I'm also sad to see that Nathalie is out. She worked very hard in this game and did a money job keeping herself around. Post some comments guys, we are running low.

This weekend on Week Eleven... Cowin struggles to find a way to keep himself around in Kichagani, Margolo must win immunity, or they will be down to four members, and Harteema attempts to continue its successful run in challenges.

Saturday, January 13, 2007

Week Ten

Well guys, as I stated at the last Tribal Council, we have now eliminated half of the original 40 contestants. I thank the people that are still around for their willingness to participate in strategy, and their devotion to checking in as well as making comments. I really appreciate it, and I am totally happy that this game has been so successful.

For all the people who have been voted out thus far, I also appreciate your devotion to the game. I will most likely be doing a third Survivor Hamilton next fall, so by all means join up. Here goes Week Ten…

Kichagani Tribe

Winning Immunity last week couldn’t have been better for the morale of Kichagani. Scott and Chelsea made a big dinner for the tribe, and together they feasted on crab and pineapple. Cowin and Micah had brought fresh water from a spring, and the meal was complete. Everyone was happy that they were safe last week, and were not focused on strategy. Cowin and Jill were a little nervous however, because their close ally/son Graham was voted out two weeks ago, and they hadn’t made any headway on new alliance. Jill, who had an alliance with Chelsea in their old tribe, told Chelsea that she would join with her. Cowin decided to talk to Kyle and Scott to explain his importance to the tribe. Cowin had done fantastic in almost every challenge to date, and was not going to stop now. Mandy, still not involved in any strategy to this point didn’t see a point to start now. Despite the fact that a couple people were desperate, the mood was still light and the tribe had a nice day.

Margolo Tribe

After losing both weeks since the switch, Margolo is desperate for a win. Steve, Elliott and German had a terrible surprise last Tribal Council when Tyla, their fourth vote, did not vote. This left the three of them, potentially pitted against Beckie, Nathalie and Jord. This was a problem for Elliott in particular who had an alliance with Beckie and was getting worried that she was turning away from him. Beckie wasn’t sure exactly where she stood, but she knew she didn’t want to vote against her close friend Nathalie. So Jord, who has done very well in the challenges, knew he needed to milk this friendship for all it was worth to get Beckie on their side. Steve, who had felt pretty good about his chances thus far was getting quite anxious. His alliance with German and Elliott was strong, but now it was only the three of them. He was quite useful to the tribe in challenges, but if they kept losing, no one would make it to the merge. Two second places in a row so far, hopefully this time they can take it.

The Harteema Gang

They lost last week, which was no fun, but some people were quite happy. Pitman, Tyler and Silas had not lost their partners, but Dirks’ partner Hinton was sent home. He didn’t vote, but the plan in the tribe was to vote him out anyway. Dirks didn’t really like that his “allies” went behind his back, but what was he to do about it? If he stepped to hard to them he could get voted out. So he simmered. Lauren, Cait and Trotman knew it was only a matter of time until their turns to go home, so they knew they had to make sure their tribe continued to win challenges. Trotman talked to Silas about his involvement and success in the challenges, and Silas noted that Trotman had been good, and that he will try to keep him around. Cait talked to Dirks and Tyler whom she was acquainted to and tried to reason with them about her importance to the tribe. Lauren could see that the tribe was week in PS, Strategy and Teamwork, all of which she excelled in, and she made that known to the tribe.

Immunity Challenge

This week’s challenge is a straight up three way water polo game. Three tribes, three nets and one ball. The object of the game is to score as many points against the other teams as possible. When one tribe scores, they get a point, and it also takes away a point from the tribe that is scored on. Pretty straight forward eh?

The attribute weightings are as follows:

Speed: 20%
Strength: 20%
PS: 0%
Strategy: 20%
Teamwork: 40%

Because this water polo game is a six person one, and each of Kichagani and Harteema has eight tribe members, they each must sit one person out. Kichagani has decided to sit out Jill, while Harteema has decided to sit out Lauren. So everyone gets in the water, the ball is thrown out, and the game begins!

Quickly Beckie grabs the ball swims through Kichagani’s defenses and scored one for Margolo. Heidman takes the ball, swims out towards Harteema but is stripped by Trotman, who takes it, and launches it towards Kichagani and scores. This time Kyle takes it out, but like Scott, doesn’t pass and the ball is stolen by German, who passes it to Jord, who scores on Harteema. Chris takes the ball, passes it to Tyler, who passes it to Dirks, who scores again on Kichagani. Things are not looking so hot for the teamwork-impaired Kichagani. Scott takes the ball again, this time passes it to Micah, who passes it back to Scott and he scores on Harteema. Margolo’s defense is too strong with Steve and Elliott holding the fort.

Halfway through the game the points are as follows:
Kichagani: -2
Margolo: 1
Harteema: 0

Beckie has the ball again, passes it to German, who passes it to Jord and they make it look too easy as they score on Harteema. Tyler, Pitman and Silas go towards Kichagani together and score another on Kichagani. But then Silas realized that scoring on them isn’t doing much good, they have to start scoring on Margolo. Micah comes out with the ball again, and this time is able to score on Margolo. German passes the ball the Nathalie to give her her a try, but she is stripped by Silas, he passes to Trotman, who scores again on Margolo. This time Peter and Jord come out and after some give and goes are able to score on Kichagani again. As of now, Margolo and Harteema are tied at 1 point. Kichagani’s Mandy takes out the ball towards Harteema, but is stripped by Tyler, who takes the ball through Elliott and Steve and scores again on Margolo. And that could be the difference maker as the whistle blows and the challenge ends.

Final Standings:
Kichagani: -3
Margolo: 0
Harteema: 2

That means The Harteema Gang wins Immunity and Margolo and Kichagani must go to Tribal Council this week.

Keys to Victory (defeat):

The Harteema Gang: Sitting out Lauren turned out to be a very good decision for Harteema in this challenge and they won, however just barely over Margolo. Trotman once again killed the challenge, and all of the other people in the tribe pulled their weight. Tyler and Pitman were second best, while Dirks, Silas and Cait all contributed as well. Good work Harteema.

Margolo Tribe: This was the third second place in a row for Margolo and it couldn’t have come at a worse time. The tribe actually worked very well as a team, but the weak link was Nathalie, whose attributes were just not suited for this type of challenge. Beckie was astonishing in the challenge, and Jord was also quite good. German, Elliott and Steve did not hold the team back, but were not difference makers like Trotman.

Kichagani Tribe: Micah and Scott were really the only people in Kichagani who made any impact in this challenge. Jill’s teamwork was needed, but her physical weaknesses kept her out of this challenge. Kyle and Cowin, who are both strong, fast as well as good strategizers, just didn’t have the teamwork for this game, while Mandy and Chelsea didn’t have the physical attributes. Next challenge will be different, but its time to go to Tribal Council.

Well, since I posted this one early, I am going back to the Wednesday night at 11:59 time limit to vote by. Here are the people who need to vote by Wednesday night:

Kichagani Tribe:
Cowin
Kyle
Scott
Jill
Chelsea
Mandy
Micah

Margolo Tribe:
Steve
Elliott
Beckie
German
Nathalie
Jord

Good luck.

Week Nine Tribal Council

Margolo before Tribal Council

Nathalie and Jord were desperate now. One of their allies, Greg was voted out last week, and now they were desperate to find some new allies or else one of them was going home this week. Nathalie was confident that Beckie would not vote for her, but she was not sure that Beckie would leave her alliance with Elliott, German, Tyla and Steve. If Nathalie could get Beckie to vote with them it would be three votes against four. And sure enough, Beckie promised not to vote against Nathalie. Since Elliott and German had decided to vote Nathalie this week, it would be 4 votes to 3 at best. Steve was feeling pretty confident this week. He knew that German and Elliott were running the tribe, and that he was their main ally. Things were going to go smoothly. Nathalie was out of Survivor.

Margolo Tribal Council

With everyone ready with their votes, it was very apparent that one person was not there. This person missed out on Tribal Council and is therefore eliminated. So, the 2nd person eliminated from Margolo and the 19th eliminated from Survivor Hamilton Two is…
Tyla Leonard

The Harteema Gang before Tribal Council

The most interesting politically tribe of Survivor Hamilton Two was heading to Tribal Council. Each person had their partner and focused on their own strategy, but Silas, Chris, Tyler and Nathan worked on their own strategy. Each person weighed the attributes of their own partners and worked out who should be voted out. It was decided that one of those four partners was going home. This decision however, was reached without the consent of Dirks. Hinton would be going home this week. Cait, Lauren and Trotman were happy with this decision seeing that it wasn’t them going home. Completely oblivious, Dirks figured maybe Cait or Lauren should get voted out, and decided to vote as such. Barring anything unforeseen, this Tribal Council should go off without a hitch.

The Harteema Gang Tribal Council

Like 30 seconds earlier, this Tribal Council didn’t go smoothly either. One person did not show up to Tribal Council for Harteema either. This person is the 1st person eliminated from Harteema and the 20th from Survivor Hamilton Two…
Matt Hinton

Well two no shows later, and we are officially half way through the game. If you are still in Survivor, CONGRATULATIONS! You made it quite far. Post to wish Tyla and Matty Hinton a fond farewell.

This weekend on Survivor Hamilton Two… Margolo gets desperate after losing two in a row, Kichagani struggles as everyone wants to join the alliance, and Harteema’s bottom three try to shake things up.

Week Nine

Kichagani Tribe

After having to vote out Graham last week, Kichagani is sorely lacking in the speed and strengths departments. Their teamwork also took a hit, but it had to be done to take away some of the power from Cowin. The other people in the tribe minus Jill had seen Cowin as a long term strategic threat and to limit his control they voted out his main ally. But now it was time to focus on keeping their tribe as strong as possible. Athleticism was a problem now. The tribe had Cowin, Kyle and Scott who were all very athletic but the rest of the tribe consisted of people who were better at the mental challenges. Chelsea never felt more comfortable than in her new alliance with Scott, Kyle, Mandy and Micah. The five of them were the ones who voted for Graham. Jill and Cowin knew it was time to scramble. Maybe they wouldn’t be voted out next, but the odds were that they would be, so they needed to infiltrate that alliance somehow.

Margolo Tribe

German and Elliott were as happy as can be after successfully voting out Greg from their tribe. They had gained Steve and Tyla’s votes, which also means that they must have also gained a vote from either Beckie, Jord or Nathalie. And since Jord and Nathalie had come over together from Breema, it was most likely that Beckie had stuck with Elliott instead of making a new alliance. So things were quite comfortable for the five of them, and just like in Kichagani, things were getting very scary for the other two. Nathalie has been close outside of the game with Beckie for a long time, so she planned on using that relationship to gain a third into their group. Jord knew that he has been pretty good in the challenges so far, and also that he is a likeable guy, so he needed to use those facts to keep himself around. He may be out of luck when it comes to making a new alliance.

The Harteema Gang

Chris knew that Harteema was going to win last weeks challenge even before he knew what it was. He had a lot of confidence in his close friends Dirks, Tyler and Silas. The four of them were beginning the make the other four in the tribe a little nervous. Trotman had been perfect in the last challenge so he knew he was safe, but he wanted some assurance from Silas that he would not be screwed over. Dirks had made a plan with Hinton to go all the way, but that was before the switch, so Hinton was worried that their alliance would not save him. Lauren trusted Tyler to make the best decisions for the tribe, but wanted him to keep her posted on what needed to be done. Cait had made an agreement with Pitman much earlier, but was not sure how much longer it would be valid for. Harteema had problems that needed to be sorted out before they went to tribal council.

Immunity Challenge

This challenge is a puzzle challenge that needs to be done one piece at a time. Each tribe will start with one piece already placed in the frame and then a pile of pieces fifty feet away. The tribe will get in a line and toss one piece down the line from the pile to the frame. If the piece does not fit the first piece, it must be tossed back to the pile and another piece must be chosen and tossed towards the frame. The people in the line must stay in specific spaces chosen, and must not move closer to any of the other people in the line. Once the second piece fits, all the people in the line will all shift one space towards the puzzle frame, and the last person must run to the pile and become the first person. The challenge is over when one person completes their puzzle.

The attribute weightings are as follows:
Speed: 10%
Strength: 0%
Problem-Solving: 40%
Strategizing: 20%
Teamwork: 30%

Because Harteema has one extra member they get to choose one person to sit out. They choose Trotman to sit out the challenge. And now all the people from the three tribes are in their lines, and the challenge starts!

Kyle is able to describe his piece and get the second piece passed down the line, and Kichagani is the first tribe to have their second piece in place. Margolo is right behind them with their second piece. Harteema falls behind early as Chris’ second piece does not fit the first and must be passed back. As the challenge progresses, Kichagani and Margolo are neck and neck while Harteema continues to fall behind. And soon, Kichagani and Margolo have nine pieces in place and their tenth and last pieces are being tossed down the line. Jill and German are down at the end of the line waiting for their pieces. They get their pieces at almost the exact same time, but Jill is the first to angle hers correctly in place and complete her team’s puzzle.

So Kichagani WINS IMMUNITY. This also means that Margolo and Harteema must go to Tribal Council this week.

Keys to Victory (defeat):

Kichagani Tribe: This week, Kichagani skills were perfect for a challenge like this. While all the people in the tribe did a good job, the tribe was led by Jill, Kyle and Mandy. There wasn’t a weak link, and that is why Kichagani won, even though it was very close.

Margolo Tribe: They just barely lost, but the tribe can’t really blame it on German. He was very good in the challenge, but not perfect. The only person who was better than German for Margolo was Jord, as he was perfectly suited for this challenge. Steve and Nathalie were also very good, and did not hold their team back. Elliott was a little worse than he would have liked, but it was only because he was trying to rush his teammates. Beckie and Tyla were the weak links. While they both were great at teamwork, they struggled with explaining what pieces needed to be passed, and held their team back.

The Harteema Gang: Lauren killed this challenge. No one was better than Lauren out of all the tribes, and it was just too bad that the rest of her tribe wasn’t as good as her. Dirks and Silas were also quite good, and Tyler was alright, but Cait, Chris and Hinton really held the team back. They struggled putting all the aspects together, and did not do a good job. Trotman wouldn’t have helped that much, but he would have been better than the three of them in this specific challenge.

So because I posted this a day late, you will have an extra day to vote. So here are the people who need to vote by Thursday night at 11:59pm.

Margolo Tribe:
Elliott
German
Steve
Tyla
Beckie
Nathalie
Jord

Harteema Gang:
Silas
Trotman
Tyler
Lauren
Dirks
Hinton
Chris
Cait

Week Eight Tribal Council

Kichagani before Tribal Council

The week leading up to Kichagani’s first Tribal Council was a tense one. Four pairs from the original four tribes doesn’t make for any easy alliances, but alliances needed to be made. Cowin’s game plan up to this point was just to get Graham to the merge, and when some people approached him to be part of their alliance and Cowin let that be known, they didn’t really like that very much. Jill had come over with Chelsea from Margani where they had run their alliance, but things were different now, and if they wanted to survive, they would have make new alliances. So Jill began to talk with Cowin and Graham, while Chelsea decided to take another option and talk to some other people in the tribe. Mandy and Micah came over from Breema, and because they both knew Kyle, it was natural that they gravitated to him. So people tried to make some early alliances, and it came time to vote.

Kichagani Tribal Council

1st Vote: Graham
2nd Vote: Graham
3rd Vote: Micah
4th Vote: Graham
5th Vote: Micah
6th Vote: Micah
7th Vote: Graham
8th Vote: Graham

So the 1st person voted out of Kichagani and the 17th eliminated from Survivor Hamilton Two is… my brother, Graham Hamilton.

Margolo before Tribal Council

In the newly formed Margolo Tribe there were really two halves. Nathalie, Greg, Beckie and Jord all went to church together, which made half the tribe, and then three of the other four people all knew eachother from camp. Where the groups crossed over was that Steve and Greg came together in Margani, and Beckie and Elliott formed an alliance in Kichanga. German and Elliott were tight, and German was pretty close with Steve so they had a three man alliance. If they could get Tyla into their group they would have four as well. So it was looking like it could be a tie unless either Greg or Steve, or Elliott or Beckie could sway eachother. Let’s see how it goes.

Margolo Tribal Council

1st Vote: Tyla
2nd Vote: Greg
3rd Vote: Tyla
4th Vote: Greg
5th Vote: Tyla
6th Vote: Greg
7th Vote: Greg
8th Vote: Greg

So the 1st person voted out of Kichagani and the 18th eliminated from Survivor Hamilton Two is… Greg Beurling.

So Graham and Greg who just happen to be really close friends get voted in the same week. Too bad for them and for the people who count on them as allies. Post your thoughts.

This weekend on Survivor Hamilton Two… a completely non-physical challenge, for those who have not done so well in the previous challenges to strut their stuff.

Note: People of the Harteema Gang... if you want a say in who sits out of your next challenge (because you will have one extra person) please email me who you want to sit out. If I don't get repsonses from at least half the tribe, I will pick. Remember it is a mainly intellectual and strategic challenge, involving teamwork.
