Week Nineteen

Kim Tribe

Silas had thought he had some sort of control over the tribe last week when he was able to give someone immunity. He ended up making his decision with 20 minutes left, without having any idea how things would pan out. With 15 minutes left before Tribal Council last week, three people had not yet voted. It was a mad scramble to get something organized, and in the end, it was Steve that got voted out. Elliott had lost German and Steve in back to back weeks, and now all he had left was Binny. It was not as if Binny had any sway in this tribe, just being brought back, but he did owe Elliott a lot. Silas had ended up giving immunity to Cowin, which he was very grateful for. Cowin had been getting quite nervous that he was going to be voted out. He had had some control over the tribe, but after last week he actually felt that he lost some. He had a good friend in Jord, but other than that he didn’t think there was anyone he could trust. Scott and Kyle were still allied, as were Binny and Elliott. That just left Silas, how could be seen as less of a threat because he isn’t in any serious alliance, or more of a threat because he could potentially join with any of the three pairs.

A storm had been coming on and off during the last couple of days. At nights, no one could sleep for fear of their shelter blowing away, which could leave any of them seriously injured. Today, the storm was especially terrible. Even though it was around noon, it was very dark outside. The wind was so strong that the rain stung against the castaways’ skin. But they made their way to the immunity challenge anyway.

Immunity Challenge

Today’s immunity challenge will test everyone’s physical and mental stability. Each person has a three piece puzzle which they must complete to win immunity. The problem is that all of the pieces are buried together in a huge mudpit. The castaways must retrieve piece one from the mud, bring it back to their frame, place it and then come back for piece two, and then the same with the third piece. All seven puzzles are identical however. So even if someone else retrieves piece one, any of the castaways are able to attack that person and take their piece. As I said this will be very physical, because you all need to get your pieces, and protect them all the way to your frame. Once the piece is put in the frame it cannot be removed. The first person to complete their three piece puzzle will win immunity.

The attribute weightings are as follows:

Speed: 20%
Strength: 40%
Prob-Solv: 40%
Strategy: 0%
Co-Op: 0%

So as the thunder claps and the rain comes hard, all the castaways run through the mud to the deep pit to retrieve their pieces. Silas is the first person there, but he is speared right away by Scott, with both of them going face down into the muck. Cowin spies a piece right underneath them, and first lifts and tosses Silas, and then he shoves Scott out of the way to find what turned out to be piece number one.
No one is able to stop him from getting back to his frame as Cowin goes ahead one-nothing. Kyle and Elliott fiercely battle for a piece, with Kyle able to knock Elliott down, and run off with the piece. Luckily for him he finds a piece right away, but Jord runs by and snatches it out of his slippery hands. Scott, Kyle and Jord each get one piece back to their frame, before Cowin gets his second. Soon Silas is able to get one piece as well. As Cowin finds his third piece, Elliott and Scott decided to bring Cowin down and are able to accomplish it with a huge struggle. No one notices Binny as he sneaks his second piece through the crowd and fits it into his frame. Scott is able to wrestle the piece from Cowin and he places his second in his frame as well.

Cowin: 2
Scott: 2
Binny: 2

Binny quickly finds his third piece and no one is paying attention to him and he starts to sprint towards the frame, but out of nowhere, Scott comes in with his second spear of the game and knocks the wind out of Binny. Cowin finds his third piece and begins to move if slowly towards his frame but Kyle grabs on to him trying to bring him down. Jord then runs towards them and drop kicks Kyle in the chest, knocking him down and freeing Cowin up to place his third and final piece.

Andrew Cowin wins Immunity!

This Week’s Tribal Council

Well it looks as if for the third week in a row, Cowin will end up immune. So all seven of you must vote, this week by THURSDAY NIGHT AT 11:59pm. You must all vote, but you must NOT vote for Cowin as he is immune. Good luck guys, and sorry this is so late.

I am quite enjoying this "fly under the radar", "underdog" style I have going on and am pretty content to keep it that way. Though I have to say that getting speared by Scott would hurt, but only in an emotional sense; he packs about as much punch as a seven year old girl.

See you on Thursday...

that was a fun immunity challenge.

i just couldn't stop picturing men covered in mud running around mauling each other. while maybe not most people's fantasy, it did it for me.

being out and watching this from 3rd person view reminded me of my baby days in Africa when (I am told) i used to sit in my stroller and laugh at my brother and sister play in the mud.

Mike, you shoudl change the rules of survivor so us voted-off-ers can sit in bleachers just for the challenges and laugh at the boys wrestling in the mud.

i'd pay money to see scott flying around the landscape 'spearing' everything in sight and jord drop kicking kyle so HIS buddy cowin can win immunity (take note).

these are dangerous, yet exciting days.

go elliot!

Dangerous indeed. Binny u may feel like ur the undergod but i disagree. You r the wildcard and we all know the wildcard does sometimes come out of left feild and take it away. But the true underdogs are flying around dropkicking ppl and winning immunities left right and center....i donno dangerous is definitly the word.

The outside isn't THAT bad.

i mean i too wish i was still in, but i feel like we can just observe and laugh and enjoy what is going on without the stress. like last night i had a dream that somehow involved survivor and the crazy knockout spiders that showed up on LOST last night.

however, i'm a rookie at this 'outsideness' so i will prolly grow to hate it as well.

the outside, is makes it more like watching it on TV. You have no control in how it turns out.

I have a hard time getting into it when my fate does not rest on how hamilton's story goes.
