Week Twenty-Three Tribal Council

Kim Tribe before Tribal Council

Well there wasn’t much stress leading up to this Tribal Council. It was fairly obvious who would be getting the votes this week. After Kyle won immunity, it was safe to say that Elliott and Binny would have to vote against Scott. And seeing as Binny had more votes against then Elliott, it seemed that Kyle and Scott would be voting for Binny. So as everyone was pretty certain who would be voting against who, the final four decided to go on a nice hike. They packed lunched of mangoes, clam and fresh water, and headed out to find a waterfall or something beautiful that could help bond them as a team for one final time.
Without much struggle Binny spotted the falling water through the trees, and ran off to shower himself under the clean, crisp falls. Scott was not far behind as he jumped into the pool at the bottom of the falls with a big splash. All in all it was a very nice afternoon without stress, but soon it would have to end. And by soon I mean right now.

Kim Tribal Council

1st Vote: Scott
2nd Vote: Binny
3rd Vote: Scott
4th Vote: Binny

See, like I expected we have a tie. I then performed a revote with only Kyle and Elliott voting, but they stuck with their original votes. So it was then time to count the previous votes against for Scott and Binny. After calculating the votes, the 10th person voted out of the Kim Tribe and the 38th eliminated from Survivor Hamilton Two is…
For the second time…

Matthew Binnington

Well we are down to the final three… Kyle Pitman, Scott Heidman and Elliott Delaunay. Congrats to Binny to sticking around after being brought back for longer than I thought. People wanted you out and you made it far so I am happy that you are the guy who got brought back. Tomorrow (I really hope) I will be posting the final day of Survivor Hamilton Two. The final three will compete in a random challenge to book a place in the Finals, and they will have the opportunity to bring one of the other two to the finals. Stay tuned.

Week Twenty-Two

Kim Tribe

Well we are all the way down to the final four. Even though all four remaining castaways began this game on the same tribe, some have taken very different roads to the final four. Matt Binnington started the game feeling pretty good about his chances in the Kichanga Tribe. He knew lots of people in his tribe, and he saw no reasons why he couldn’t go deep in the game. But unfortunately for him, his friendships with Elliott and Scott did not help him, and he was voted out in week six by an alliance led by Kyle.
Instead of joining with his friend Binny from camp, Scott Heidman decided to make an alliance with Kyle Pitman. They didn’t really know eachother, but they saw in eachother strengths which could help them get far. Turns out it was the right decision as their alliance cut through their first tribe, their new tribe after the switch, and lo and behold they are both still in the game at the final four. While Scott has only received two votes against this whole game (both last week), Kyle has had many close calls. He has had to vote out his friends to keep himself around, but each choice he made seems to be the right one as he has strategically dominated this game. That is not to take anything away from Scott’s game, because for being dominant in the challenges, Scott has had the ability to lay low, and I believe that is what has gotten him to this point.
Elliott Delaunay, like Kyle has had a very difficult time getting to the final four. Getting through to the switch almost didn’t happen, but Elliott did some quick thinking and was able to ally with Kyle and Scott and gain their semi-trust. During the switch, he was put in a tribe with his close friend German, and Elliott easily made it through to the merge. In the first Tribal Council however, Elliott was almost voted out, and he has had to work very hard to keep himself around while all his allies from his last tribe were systematically eliminated. He won a very important challenge later in the game, and was given the opportunity to bring someone back to the game. He decided to bring someone back who he could trust, and chose Binny. The two have formed a strong pairing, and look to get to the final three together.

Immunity Challenge

This is the second last immunity challenge. It will consist of three different challenges each using two attributes evenly. The loser of each challenge will be eliminated, and the winners will go through to the next round. The winner in the third challenge will win the immunity challenge.

First Contest

Speed: 0%
Strength: 0%
Prob-Solv: 50%
Strategy: 50%
Co-op: 0%

Eliminated: Scott
Moving on: Kyle, Elliott, Binny

Its too bad that this challenge was the first, because Scott would have taken the next two rounds had he snuck through this one.

Second Contest

Speed: 50%
Strength: 50%
Prob-Solv: 0%
Strategy: 0%
Co-op: 0%

Eliminated: Binny
Moving on: Elliott, Kyle

Well this sets up the ultimate rivalry between Elliott and Kyle. These two have been both allies and rivals throughout this game, and now we have a chance to separate the two of them.

Third Contest

Speed: 0%
Strength: 50%
Prob-Solv: 50%
Strategy: 0%
Co-op: 0%

Also you should know that this is a tie, and therefore I will have my trusty sidekick Tyler pick a hand to determine the winner. And the winner of the second last immunity challenge in Survivor Hamilton Two is…

Kyle Pitman

This Week’s Vote

I realize I am posting this late, but I would like to have this Tribal Council posted by Saturday night. Remember you can't vote for Kyle. There are only four of you so I suppose it shouldn’t take too long to determine who you are voting for. If there is indeed a tie, I will give you two more days to revote (Monday), and if it is still a tie, I will add up previous votes against and I will post the Tribal Council on the same time I post Week Twenty-Three.

Good luck boys.

Week Twenty-One Tribal Council

Kim Tribe before Tribal Council

Well today the final five would become the final four. After today 90% of the castaways will have been eliminated. After dominating the strategic element of the game for so many weeks, Kyle finally won his first immunity challenge and it couldn’t have come at a better time. After Cowin was immune for 5 weeks in a row, Kyle finally took the crown form him, and now things were looking dicey for one Andrew Cowin. Kyle and Scott would most definitely be voting together this week, as would Elliott and Binny. So either the four of them voted out their biggest threat in Cowin, or someone would decide to take Cowin to the final three.
Cowin wanted to talk to Elliott and Binny. He had a little vendetta against Kyle ever since he had a hand in voting out ALL of Cowin’s allies. That would be Hackett, Graham, Jill and Jord. Kyle has done a number on Cowin’s friends, and even though Kyle was immune this week, Cowin would be looking to vote out Scott. That would take away Kyle’s only ally, and probably spell the end for Kyle’s regime. So if Cowin can’t get Elliott’s vote, it looks like he will be the one to go this week.

Tribal Council

1st Vote: Cowin
2nd Vote: Cowin
3rd Vote: Scott
4th Vote: Scott

So after 4 of the 5 votes, we currently have a tie between Scott and Cowin. But unfortunately for one, there is 1 more vote to come. So with the 5th vote against, the 9th person voted out of the Kim Tribe and the 37th person voted out of Survivor Hamilton Two is…

Andrew Cowin

Hey Cowin I’m sorry your run is over. You made it much farther than I thought you would. Congrats on being 5th, and I’m happy that you ended up taking this game so seriously and put so much into the strategy part.

So we are down to our final four. I don’t know if any of you have noticed yet, but all 4 of the remaining castaways are from the original Kichanga Tribe. Kyle, Scott, Elliott and Binny have been through a lot, but now the game is reaching its end. One of these four will end up the final Survivor.

Week Twenty-One

Kim Tribe

Well we are down to the final five. After starting in October with 40 castaways, we have made our way down to five hardy Caucasian males. A lot of strategizing has gotten these guys to this point, and a lot more will get them to the finals. Cowin has been immune four weeks in a row, and the other four guys were not going to let it happen again. While he is not the fastest or the smartest, Cowin had a competitiveness that no one else had, and he will never give up. So the group set him to work. The shelter needed some work, and since Cowin was the strongest he should be the guy doing all the heavy lifting. Cowin didn’t argue, but meekly got to work. The other guys didn’t just stand around and watch, but they did work sparingly to conserve energy.

Binny and Elliott barely did anything all day. The game was almost over, why should they do any work? So it was mostly left up to Cowin, Kyle and Scott. That did give them some time together to strategize, which was something that Kyle wanted more than anything. If he could get Cowin on his side, then Elliott and Binny would be out very soon. But Elliott and Binny tried to get to Cowin as well. They wanted Cowin on their side as well, but since they weren’t doing any work, Cowin wasn’t going to talk to them until after the immunity challenge.

Immunity Challenge

This week’s immunity challenge has two parts. The first part is a race involving running and heavy lifting. Each contestant must sprint 400m, collect a 150lb backpack, and sprint back to the start. Once the castaway returns to the start, they must use the contents of the backpack to strategically stop the others from completing their puzzles.

Each of the five puzzles have to be put together all in the same frame. So the first person to come back is able to put their puzzle together in a way to block out the others from completing theirs. Each castaway’s puzzle pieces can only be placed next to one of their own, in an empty space. When there are no empty spaces beside your pieces, you are eliminated. The last person still able to place a piece will win immunity.

The attribute weightings are as follows:

Speed: 40%
Strength: 20%
Prob-Solv: 0%
Strategy: 40%
Co-Op: 0%

So all five contestants are lined up, and the challenge begins. Scott takes a very big lead in the sprint, and is the first to reach the pack. Elliott is next followed by Binny, then Cowin, then Kyle. On the way back, Cowin is able to make up some ground and passes Binny. Scott and Elliott are neck and neck as they reach the giant puzzle frame at the same time and begin to unpack their heavy bags. Cowin is next to make it, then Kyle and finally Binny who had a hard time with the 150 lbs.

Scott was having a hard time figuring out the strategic element of the game, while Elliott was making some headway in blocking out Cowin. Kyle was just breezing through the puzzle, and with Elliott’s help successfully blocked out Cowin from placing any more pieces. Then Scott couldn’t place any more pieces, and then Binny was finished too. That left just Kyle and Elliott frantically placing their heavy pieces to block eachother out. Elliott dropped his last piece on to his foot, and with a yelp, jumped up and down. He then bent to pick up his piece, and when he stood back up Kyle had placed his last piece in the last spot blocking Elliott out.

So for the second week in a row, Elliott places second in the immunity challenge. But Cowin did not win this week.

Kyle wins Immunity.

This Week’s Vote

So Cowin didn’t win this week, which made everyone very happy; except Cowin of course. So if all five of you could please vote by Friday night at 11:59pm. Remember, you can’t vote for Kyle.

Happy Voting.

Week Twenty Tribal Council

Kim Tribe before Tribal Council

Elliott, Binny, Kyle and Scott really been hoping Cowin didn’t win immunity this week. Unfortunately for them, the big guy kept the streak alive, and is immune for the 4th week in a row. So that left Silas. He has also won an immunity challenge since the merge, so maybe getting rid of him would be a good move too. Silas was not going to go down without a fight though. He knew that Kyle and Elliott were just waiting for a chance to get rid of eachother, so he decided, with Cowin’s help, to make an offer. It would come down to whether Elliott and Binny would rather go up against Kyle and Scott in the final four, or maybe go up against Silas and Cowin. It would be a tough call, but it is one that would have to be made. While Silas would most likely be better than Kyle in the challenges, but Kyle had the strategic edge. Scott was the only guy in the game with no votes against, so if it was ever a tie, and it came down to votes against Scott would win the tiebreaker. It may be another close vote, yet again.

Tribal Council

1st Vote: Kyle
2nd Vote: Silas
3rd Vote: Scott
4th Vote: Silas
5th Vote: Silas
6th Vote: Silas

So with 4 votes against, the 8th person voted out of the Kim Tribe and the 36th person voted out of Survivor Hamilton Two is…

Silas Pedro Esq.

Silas buddy I’m proud of you. 4th in Survivor One, 6th in Survivor Two… that is a pretty good record. Well Silas, from the early weeks of not really paying attention, to that one week where you forgot to vote, it has been a long ride. Sorry to see you go, but it was fun.

Week Twenty-One is coming up…

Week Twenty

Kim Tribe

To ease the stress, Silas suggested that the tribe wake up early and take a little friendly tribal swim. Some more reluctantly than other, everyone agreed. Elliott and Binny began splashing eachother and giggling like little girls, while Kyle only shook his head at them. Even though it was supposed to be a friendly swim, Kyle was all strategy. It was down to the final 6, and he wanted to win badly. Scott was obviously his ally, but he would need at least one other person to ally with him. Cowin was hanging out on the beach not really involving himself in the swim, as he was still exhausted. Kyle could try and get Cowin on his side, but Cowin has been unstoppable at the challenges, so maybe it would be better to get rid of him now. After Cowin lost his main ally Jord however, he would probably be willing to make any promise to keep himself around for one more week. Elliott meanwhile was pushing Binny under the water, laughing as Binny struggled for air. Silas, like Cowin had no main ally. He has also been pretty good at the challenges, and was considered an intellectual and strategic threat. He could be involved in an alliance, but then would any alliance be able to stand of Silas or Cowin kept winning immunity challenges?

That’s where the problem was. Sure Cowin and Silas had no alliances and were strong in the challenges, but Elliott and Binny, Scott and Kyle each had alliances, and it could be argued that that makes them much more dangerous. Elliott and Kyle have so far been civil to eachother, but the time for that may end now that each of them strives for power in the tribe.

Immunity Challenge

This challenge will be twofold. For the first challenge I will randomly split the tribe into two teams of three. They will then compete against the other team in a challenge. The winning team of three will then compete in an individual immunity challenge where one will emerge victorious and win Immunity.

Team Challenge

Speed: 20%
Strength: 20%
Prob-Solv: 0%
Strategy: 0%
Teamwork: 60%

The two teams are as follows:

Team One:
Scott Heidman
Andrew Cowin
Elliott DeLaunay

Team Two:
Kyle Pitman
Silas Pedro Esq.
Matt Binnington

All the members of each team will be tied together with a rope, and they will have to navigate through an obstacle course as a team. The first team to finish the course will win immunity.

Here we go.

Led by Silas, Team Two sped through the first section of the obstacle course, but soon he was pulling too hard and too fast, and Kyle and Binny couldn’t keep up, getting more and more tired. Team One was led by Scott, who had higher teamwork and was waiting for his teammates to get through their tougher obstacles and stayed patient.

While Team Two had an early lead, it was evaporating rapidly, as Kyle and Binny just didn’t have the stamina that Silas had, and he wanted to win too badly. Soon enough, Scott, Cowin and Elliott passed Team Two, and crossed the finish line. And because of Scott’s dominance, Team One wins the right to compete in the Immunity Challenge

Individual Challenge

Speed: 0%
Strength: 0%
Prob-Solv: 0%
Strategy: 100%
Co-op: 0%

This challenge is simply strategizing. It is a puzzle game where each contestant must try to capture eachothers flag by moving around on a giant game board (like a board game get it) They must also try to protect their own, by moving one space each turn. The board is a bit like a maze, so each contestant will have to choose their route to the other peoples’ flags very carefully and strategically. The first castaway to capture the other person’s flag will win Immunity.

Competing in this challenge are:

Andrew Cowin
Scott Heidman
Elliott DeLaunay

And after a random pick by one Mr. Nathan Dirks, the first move goes to Cowin. He moves one space towards Scott. The next to go is Elliott who moves towards Cowin’s corner where his flag is stashed. Scott takes the expected route and begins to move towards Elliott’s flag.

A few minutes into the game it is apparent that somewhere along the way Scott made a wrong turn, as he is much farther away from Elliott’s flag than are Elliott and Cowin from their respective goals. Moving one space at a time Cowin and Elliott eventually are each one space away from capturing a flag. But due to the luck of the draw, it is Cowin who gets to move first, plucks up Scott’s flag and wins his second Immunity in a row, and third in four weeks.

So Andrew Cowin is once again Immune!

This Week’s Vote

Sorry guys, I really am. I know that some of you must be getting frustrated that Cowin keeps winning. I picked the teams based on the tenth letter in each of your full names (i.e. matt binniNgton) Even though teamwork was so important and Cowin's is crap, he got lucky and ended up on Scott’s team, and made it through that round. And even though he was tied with Elliott in strategizing, Dirks picked Cowin’s piece of paper over Elliott’s.

Well anyway, I didn’t want Cowin to win, but he did anyway. Can you guys please VOTE BY FRIDAY NIGHT AT 11:59PM. That is an extra couple days because my blogspot account has been messed for the past couple of days. I hope you enjoyed and congrats Cowin on being too dominant for words.

Happy Voting.
